Dylan Lazarus developed his passion for aquatic life growing up along the beaches of New York, where his early exposure to marine environments sparked a lifelong interest in aquariums. As a teenager, he immersed himself in learning—spending countless hours researching and watching aquarium content to better understand aquatic systems and fish care.
At just 16, Dylan purchased his first 40-gallon freshwater aquarium with his very first paycheck. By the age of 19, he had transformed that same tank into a reef system, marking the beginning of his hands-on experience with saltwater aquariums. Since then, Dylan has continued to expand his knowledge and skillset, maintaining a wide range of systems—from high-tech planted freshwater tanks to detailed nano reef setups.
At Aquatic Innovations, Dylan has quickly grown from caring for freshwater aquariums to servicing saltwater and reef systems in a short amount of time. By combining his personal aquarium experience with the professional training he has received, he has developed a well-rounded skillset that allows him to confidently manage a variety of aquatic environments.
His passion and hands-on experience make him especially valuable in both freshwater planted aquariums and reef systems, where attention to detail and system balance are critical. Dylan is committed to delivering high-quality service and helping create healthy, thriving aquariums for every client.
Bobby Wentz brings over 7 years of hands-on experience in aquatic care to the Aquatic Innovations team. Like many in the industry, his journey began as a hobbyist with small freshwater aquariums. As his passion grew, he expanded his knowledge and began breeding ghost shrimp, developing a strong foundation in aquatic systems and livestock care.
Since joining Aquatic Innovations, Bobby has played a key role in servicing and maintaining a wide range of freshwater aquariums. Through continued training and real-world experience, he has expanded his expertise to include both freshwater and saltwater systems, allowing him to confidently manage more advanced aquarium environments.
Bobby is especially passionate about reef aquariums, with a strong focus on the care and management of SPS, LPS, and mixed reef systems. His attention to detail and understanding of water chemistry, coral health, and system stability make him a valuable asset when maintaining these complex and delicate environments.
Known for his reliability, professionalism, and customer-first approach, Bobby takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality service. His growth within Aquatic Innovations reflects his dedication to the craft and commitment to creating healthy, thriving aquatic environments for every client.
After a distinguished 20+ year career in the U.S.
Air Force, Justin Powless turned his long-standing pas: asin for saltwater aquariums into a business-founding Aquatic Innovations in 2014. With over 15 years of prior reef aquarium experience, Justin brouggt both discipline and expertise into the aquarium service industry.
He credits much of his early success to Mark Parks, who introduced him to the aquarium service business and hehape tie tournri tion of what Aquatic Innovations is today.
